The DRC is a unique and highly rewarding place to work. But don't just take our word for it. Here's what some of our staff have to say.
Natalie Salmon - Head of Goods and Services Strategy
'I was keen to come and work here because of the great work the DRC do. If they'd been up and running when I was encountering problems teaching in 1997/ 98 then they would have been my first port of call for advice. If the DDA had been in full force then I would have been protected under the law. So, I have a strong personal reason making sure that other disabled people don't have to go through what I did.'
Will Bee - Director for Wales
'After our successes in my own, The Burke and The Archibald court cases I realised what the well developed, intelligent and thoughtful strategy we pursue in developing the law shows just what we can achieve as an organisition. It made all of us here in Wales feel proud to be working for the DRC.'
Anita Tomlin- Marketing Officer
'I think the DRC is an organisation working towards a worthy cause: encouraging people to change their views and ideas about disabled people to participate as equals in society. I felt that was a very important part of every day living for all of us - so I was passionate to be part of this organisation.'
Amelia John - Head of Policy and Development
'It's really important that the commission reflects its values of equality with respect for flexible working. It means that I can combine a job that I love with being a mum. I can leave on certain days at 3pm and pick my children up from school. I can also arrange evening meetings and travel to North Wales when my diary and the roads are less congested! There's a lot of give and take and this is something I really appreciate. Additionally, working with the team in Wales is brilliant - it's so enjoyable to work in such a supportive and friendly atmosphere.'
